Years ago the DLAB test was done on a paper copy with a cassette player however now days, the DLAB is completely computerized. This causes a couple of problems. In some cases you are not allowed a sheet of paper so you cannot write any notes. We say sometimes because technically you shouldn’t be allowed to however some proctors don’t know this and allow you to if you ask.
Because it is computerized, the proctor has little control on playbacks. So if it has a problem, you can’t just rewind and start at the spot of the problem.
So make sure you know the limitations and the possible problems of using the computer when taking your DLAB. Just another little preparation you can do to ensure you have peace of mind, and are prepared for the exam.
